# Welcome

This is my personal site — a home for **Tech & AI Insights**, the apps I build, and musings about the industry in general.

I’m **Dave Mills**. I’ve been in computing since the early 1980s: systems, platforms, cloud architecture, and more recently the practical side of working with AI as a day-to-day colleague rather than a buzzword.

### What’s here

- **[Blog](https://dacharm.co.uk/blog)** — essays and notes on engineering, hiring, AI, and building things that survive contact with production.
- **Apps** — tools and experiments I’ve built; I’ll surface them here as they’re ready to share.

### Start with the latest

If you’re new here, begin with *[Do Humans Still Recruit, or Have We Outsourced to AI?](https://dacharm.co.uk/blog/outsourced-tech-recruit-to-ai)* — a look at ATS pipelines, algorithmic screening, and where human judgment still matters.

Thanks for stopping by. More soon.
